Built in the Mamluk era, the fully restored El Suhaymi House in Egypt contains all the architectural elements of the traditional Cairene house. The house is named after its last owner, Sheikh Mohamed Amin El Suhaymi, and is now owned by the Egyptian government as a public museum of old Cairo architecture The oldest section was built by Sheikh Abdel Wahab El Tablawy in 1648 A.D.
Bayt El Suhaymi is built over an area of 2,100 square meters and consists of halls, rooms, corridors and courts totaling 115 spaces.
